Using Acrylic washes as a base, Kim lays down the
basic colors. She likes a bold and intense foundation in
order to make a rich underpainting that will effect the
upcoming layers.
Once the paint has dried, Chalk Pastels are layered and
blended making them have a soft, fanciful look.
Kim was inspired to illustrate or bring a visualization to
the acts and struggles of faith. She has done several
pieces themed on the songs written for our Cd's.
Her desire in these pieces are to portray our Christian
lives, from the dark, lonely times... To the times when
we can feel God's presence very clearly, and cannot
contain our praise!
